How You Can #SupportTodd

Hey Toddies, as the smart, savvy and awesome fans that you are, we wanted to let you in on a little inside scoop about the future of Todd & the Book of Pure Evil.

The good news is that we’re working on putting together Season 3 because we all love the show so much, and NEED to know what happens next. The not-so-good news is that our lead broadcaster SPACE has decided not to renew the show, because their TV ratings weren’t what they had hoped for (all you torrenters bow your heads in shame).

But that’s not the end of Todd! Let’s put our collective energies together and will a third season. With YOUR help we can save Todd! (and possibly the world).

A few amazing fans have already started their own campaigns. Check out our fan-created page on Change.org and sign the petition to get a season 3. Or click here to be part of a video campaign to bring Todd Back.

We’re always welcome to more ideas, so leave us a comment with your suggestion.

Todd & The Best Ensemble Cast Award

After shooting two seasons of Todd & The Book Of Pure Evil, you would think that we have figured out that using The Book only results in terrible things happening. But alas, we have used it again – this time to score us the Gemini Award for Best Ensemble Cast in a Comedy Series.

So congratulations to Alex House, Maggie Castle, Bill Turnbull, Melanie Leishman, Chris Leavins, Jason Mewes and Angela Jill Guingcango (and everyone else in our spectacular cast) for the award. Expect terrible and painful deaths in the coming weeks as The Book claims your lives for the honour.

The Gemini Awards Get A Dose of Pure Evil

We are very pleased to announced that Todd & The Book Of Pure Evil has been nominated for 8 (count ‘em!) Gemini awards. For American fans, the Gemini’s are like the Canadian Emmy awards, except the Emmy’s are clearly less evil.

The series has been nominated for:

- Best Ensemble Cast
- Best Performance By A Comedic Actor in a Leading Role (Chris Leavins as Atticus Murphy Jr.)
- Best Direction in A Comedy Series (Craig David Wallace – Farewell To Curtis’ Arm)
- Best Direction in A Comedy Series (James Dunnison – The Phantom Of Crowley High)
- Best Writing in a Comedy Series (Charles Picco – The Phantom of Crowley High)
- Best Writing in a Comedy Series (Garry Campbell – Checkmate)
- Best Editing in a Comedy Series (D. Gillian Truster – Farewell To Curtis’ Arm)
- Best Casting (Lewis Kay Casting, Jim Heber)

Meanwhile, there are only a few more weeks left of production on Season 2, which, I can personally guarantee* will be nominated for even more awards next year.

**Authors note: This guarantee is by no means an actual guarantee.

Hey Hot Toddies,

Todd & the Book of Pure Evil is apparently funny (which is totally unintentional). But The Comedy Network thinks it’s funny enough to show on their channel, so look out for Season 1 of Todd on @comedynetwork:

Starting Sunday June 5th, Comedy will be airing 2 episodes back-to-back every week starting @ 9pm. And if you’re busy on Sundays,  as of June 9th, Comedy will be playing an episode every Thursday @ 10pm as well. That’s a whole lot of evil for one channel.

Tell your friends & enemies to catch up on Season 1, so they’re prepared for an even crazier Season 2.

HOLY JUPITER SHIT! Todd is Coming to America!

As if today wasn’t good enough for Americans, here’s one more reason to shoud “USA! USA!”. Todd & The Book of Pure Evil is coming stateside on FEARnet HD (yes, that’s High Definition). There couldn’t be a more awesome, cooler American channel to premiere Todd.

Tuesdays at 10pm on FEARnet HD, premiering on August 2nd, 2011. Check them out here
